The only requirement to become a General member of SEARES is a technician level amateur radio license and approval by the local Emergency Coordinator.  To become a credentialed member of SEARS and South Dakota ARES, a member must meet a list of requirements, submit the proper documentation, cover the costs of the credentials and gain approval from the District Emergency Coordinator and local Emergency Coordinator.

To apply for for General membership, please complete ARRL form FSD 98 – “ARES Registration Form” and submit to the local Emergency Coordinator either via e-mail or at an SEARES meeting.
